apparently there's a way to turn it off, but it's not in preferences or anywhere else I could see.

Thank you for improving the app! Regarding the item in question that can be looked up by pressing search button..wouldn't it be better if it took us to actual Google site that had options for pictures and videos related to the item in question,the current one does not offer it, at least not in my case.
