My Tracks records your path, speed, distance, and elevation while you walk, run, bike, or do anything else outdoors. While recording, you can view your data live, annotate your path, and hear periodic voice announcements of your progress.
With My Tracks, you can share your GPS tracks and stats online:
- Via Google , Facebook, or Twitter
- Using Google Maps, Google Fusion Tables, or Google Docs
- As a GPX, KML, CSV, or TCX file
My Tracks uses the GPS sensor in your phone to record geographic and velocity statistics, but the app also syncs with third-party biometric sensors, including:
- Zephyr HxM Bluetooth heart rate monitor
- Polar WearLink Bluetooth heart rate monitor
- ANT heart rate and speed distance monitors (these require an ANT compatible phone)
My Tracks is an open source project. If you like to contribute, please visit:

A great app. I use it for cycling and love being able to update my Google maps. The mile-by-mile voice status keeps me working hard.

Very easy to use and works like a dream. I can't wait to go for a longer bike ride and really test it out. Logs lots of info too, love it!

I use this app daily when I run and I love it. There are a few things that I think would make it better though: 1.) Give us the ability to display a single statistic in the status bar. That way we don't have to unlock the phone to view our pace, times, etc. 2.) Allow us to disable the automatic screen orientation. 3.) This is less important but could still be useful. The ability to pause a recording.

Installed it on HTC Desire no problems, very easy to use. Will be on a 200 mile cycle ride soon so will see how it performs and the battery life of the HTC. What would be great is to have the ability to create route in google maps then send it to your phone, then track your course. Also, the data table needs to have the ability to move and re-size when overlay'd in google maps.

Great app, except one major flaw. The elevation is horribly off. I use it for cycling, but when I'm atop a hill 2000' up, it says I'm at 80'.

Problems finding satellite past two times even tho clear full view sky. Love it when it works but frustrating when my walking route has chunks missing

Altimeter off by about 300%. Climbed 1,200 vertical feet (per usgs map) but app said 400. Otherwise great. Nice UI and UX.

I think there is a bug in the speed-time graph. When I stop moving, the graph remain the original speed and level out. It should drop to zero.

Since the last update, the mileage is out for every mile I do it tells me I have done 1.8miles, speed is also wrong. Stopped using this shame!

I have looked forward to my new phone HTC Tattoo and My Tracks, but it does not function on my phone.
Will it in near future function on my phone?

@Rolf – From what I read you need to set your phone language to English (assuming you have it set to Danish). I just downloaded version 1.0.11 and it seems to work fine on my phone when I switched from Swedish to English.
