Saji Village in Yazu County, Tottori Prefecture, is the place that the
famous "story of foolish in Saji valley" was created. There are many rumors
about why this foolish story has created, but all of these are suppositions.
They have made many products like Japanese paper made by hand, hemp,
lacquer, 20th century pear and cigarette. And they have held the ritual for
"Dengyo Shiki". All of them are seemed like the materialization of the
character of people living in Saji Village. This movie dipicts the positive
aspect of people living in small Saji Village.

"Japanese Poetry" is the valuable documentary film series of the manners from all over Japan in 1965 to 1966 supervised by Tsuneichi Miyamoto who is the most renowned folklorist in Japan.

The theme of this film is research of "people's life history".

Falkways, events, lives and technics of all over the country are showed with collecting the specialty of each country.
"The poem in life" is expressed in this film.
