Already available on the web, in print and on the iPad, this unofficial app now brings the feature to a huge range of Android phones and tablets.

In the absence of an official Eyewitness app, this is fantastic. Programme launches in an instant, pictures download extremely quickly, even on a crappy 2G signal. It will store all of the pictures twice in a folder on your phone (the main pic and what appears to be a large thumbnail). This means the pictures don't need to be downloaded every time you open the app, but it won't take long before you have LOADS of pictures on your SD card. They can be deleted if you really want though, so not a huge issue.

Just as good as the official ipad app. Thanks, now I can get Eyewitness ...

Nice, works on the Xoom Great, but can you update it with renderscript support to make it look nicer as well as higher resolution pictures.

gorgeous... if you're jealous of the official Guardian Eyewitness iPad app, then this is for you... looks lovely, useful "pro tips", plays a nice slideshow. Live Wallpaper would be nice but would murder any device's battery...

Its amazing but i have a problem (or maybe its a feature?) this app creates a folder with the pictures, but 2-3 times each one. I dont like that.

As a photographer its nice to see professional work with the settings used and ...
