Official XBMC Remote

An open source, full-featured remote for XBMC. It features library browsing, direct remote control and a slick interface. It's still beta but we're getting there.

PERMISSIONS:
Please see Wiki page on Google code before rating down because of private data access. This app is open source after all.

HONEYCOMB USERS:
Please note that this app is now available to Honeycomb tablets, but it's far from optimized. We're working on that.

VOLUME:
Use the hardware buttons of your phone while the remote is running.

INSTALLATION:
There is a complete and updated installation guide in the Wiki, featured on the front page of the website.

BUGS:
Please use the forum or the bugtracker. Comments in here are read sporadically but more for amusement than for serious debugging.

I wasn't really expecting much for a beta app. Very nice library; covers, plot, characters, details. Haven't had any issues with the TV library. Queuing music seems to be an issue, selecting a song will just wipe your existing queue and play the song selection, some socket timeouts, no real hassle though and maybe that is my network. Otherwise very nice. SGS2 2.3.4

Overall perfect except my TV shows library is buggy at best. Movies is 100% perfection though. Most shows don't show any art episodes missing/crashes.

Great with Cyanogenmod 7 on DHD

Works very nicely and feels smooth to use. Can now view easy to read list of movie titles with cover art, imdb rating and 1 click trailers all from my phone. Fastforward and rewind is much easier using this app than when I used a remote with XBMC since it's touch and go. Glad this is open source too. 5 stars.

The only thing keeping me from giving it four stars is the inability to queue movies or tv shows. Other than that it's perfect.

Having just set up a HTPC for my parents it is fun to visit and mess with it using my phone. But that isn't what it is for- It lets you browse the library perfectly well enough to decide what to watch or listen to and the controls all correspond perfectly. Fantastic app!
