This should still have the option to use other picture saving/editing apps. There's no reason this shouldn't have the old Standard Android button. Everything else that sends pictures has this option, including stock apps.

Make sure you enable Legacy Sharing else your photos will be uploaded to an image sharing site when you use the in app sharing to Facebook or twitter.

Every iteration is worse than previous. Author has no clue what market research means. Be aware of third party server that OWNS all your pictures.
