OI Notepad is a full-featured open source note taking application. With it you can tag, search, and send your notes, in addition to basic functionality such as creating, deleting, and editing notes. Advanced features like encryption, import/export, and voice memos are all available through extensions. All of this functionality is brought together in a simplistic and efficient layout, customizable through a variety of themes.

This application is ad free and does not require the internet permission.

Excellent app. Does what it says. My favourites: Despite being basic you can add tags for organization, allows back up to SD, and needs no internet permissions. Text selection could do with some refinement, though I'm glad it exists in the first place :-).

Gets the job done, simple, no bloat. Best of all: doesn't require permissions that it doesn't need! Why would I want my notepad to have Internet access?

if you want a small app to take notes, this is it... was sick and tired of bloated notepad apps that shared with twitter, online backups, calendar integration, shopping lists, setting alarms.... those apps are great, but i just needed to take NOTES, that's all... OI notes does the basics, and does it well.

Has ability to directly edit txt files on the SD card! Would be better ...
