Quran Android is a free, open source Quran application for Android devices. There are many features under development. Please send us your feedback and feature requests and keep us in your prayers!

Quran Android provides the following features:

- Audio recitations are available for streaming and downloading with highlighting support (tap the screen for to get the audio toolbar).

- translations in many different languages (currently, Arabic Tafseer, English Sahih International Translation, French, German, Indonesian, Malay, Spanish, Turkish, Transliteration, Bosnian, Russian, Bengali, Kurdish, Somali, Dutch, Swahili, Malayalam, Azerbaijani, Tamil, and Urdu) with more coming soon.

*Please Note* - we need phone state permissions so we can stop the audio playback when a phone call comes in (otherwise, it would continue playing). also, we need internet to download data due to the limitation on non-sdcard memory on most android phones.

Because Quran Android is an open source project, it makes it easy for anyone to contribute and help improve the project. we are also open to hearing your suggestions to make Quran Android the best Quran application on the market.

AsSalamu Alikum, Jazakum Allahu Khair Aljazaa', wa Ja3lahu fi Mizan 7asanatikum inshaa' Allah. It is really beautiful application. I hope to see which Juz' or sura is downloaded because it takes long time and then you forget where it is stopped. Also if you can make the downloaded Sura name to show up instead of numbers, as Alfatiha is showing number 1 instead of its name. Wa-sSalamu Alikum. Haytham Osman

Salaamz, The app is overall very nice and serves its purpose, but since the Last Update, whenever I open the app, it prompt me to download files. Even after it completes 100%, again it restarts. Now this has happend more than twice and its irritating, What is it downloading ???? Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000

Easily the best Quran app on the market for Uthmani text. Look at the settings, you may find some useful options. Very clear, supports portrait and landscape orientation. Great page scrolling. Audio recitation streaming or download option, with a choice of many reciters offered.

Droid X - Unable to download audio. Download box pops up but no files are downloaded. Every thing else works great. thanks for the great app.

Pls add a feature where we can download the whole quran for one Shiek rather than having to download 30 chapters. Otherwise FANTASTIC MashAllah

Amazing app, but I am consistently having problems listening to the quran. Tried everything. Nexus S 2.3 4 and Acer Iconia 3.

It statrt Automatically. Cannot transfer to SD.

Every time it starts up automatically. And the application cannot be moved to SD card. Other than those issue, a great Application. ZajakAllahu Khair. Thanks.
