Shrimad Bhagavad Gita occurs in the Bhishm Parv of the Mahabharat, comprises 18 chapters from the 25th through 42nd, and consists of 700 verses. Mahabharat documents major historical facts about the great nation Bharat and was authored by Father of Ancient India, the Great seer Maharishi Shri Ved Vyas ji. The teacher of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is God Shri Krishn, who is revered as a manifestation of God (Parabrahman) itself and is referred to within as Bhagvaan, the Divine One.

I would recommend you give the option to have the Daily Shlok widget show the shlok in either the Hindi translation or the actual Sanskrit version, or both. I personally prefer to see shloks either in its original Sanskrit version, or both, not Hindi as it loses a lot of its beauty in the translation. Dhanyavaad.
