Dim your screen to the minimum allowed brightness with one touch - this is dimmer than 'Display Settings' allows you to go. Great for night time use.
Android 1.6
Donations welcome by purchasing 'Cleaner Pro'
Thx to DipeshB for the idea.
Touch again to restore brightness.

Great software with Stock/original phone firmware. Adjustable automatic display brigthness in Cyanogenmod 7 custom ROM is better, though.

Works on Epic 4G, reduced brightness to –8%

Reduced my brightness to –8%. Screen usage is the biggest consumer of battery life. Saves me some more.

Nice simple, useful app. But if I forget to un-dim before going into sleep mode on my tablet (archos 101) it won't wake up. Have to reset to wake it.

Does what it says. Easy to use. Sometimes gets stuck on 30 max instead of returning to auto bright. Droidx.

Does what I want.

I have it set to toggle from auto to 10%. Would get 5 star if you could go to 5% cause 10 is little too bright in a dark room.

It says "restoring brightness from 10 to 10"; that's it? Does nothing on the Droid-x2

Didn't lower further than system settings will do. Does work as far as that. Nice one-touch widget. LG Optimus.
