Use your phone as a webcam on your computer over WiFi or USB
Allows you to chat using "DroidCam Webcam" on your computer (Skype/Yahoo/MSN/etc..), and talk via "DroidCam Microphone*".
You must download and install a computer client to use the app (Windows & Linux versions available). Visit www.dev47apps.com on your computer to install the client and usage info.
Pro version, DroidCamX available: Various video formats and higher resolutions, bluetooth, access via your browser (surveillance/ip camera), connect via 3G, camera flash, auto focus, zoom and more. Available for Android 2.1 .
The connection will reset after ~15 min in the free version.
NOTE: The new version of Skype, 6, does not detect the webcam. The problem has been reported to Skype, who are in the process of reviewing the issue. All other similar webcam programs also don't work.
* Audio support is experimental:
- Available on Windows XP - 7 only as an optional install
- 64-bit Windows will block the audio driver by default
- Not available via Bluetooth
- On Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) audio recording is delayed by at least 1 second and delivered in larger chunks, thus not allowing DroidCam to stream and play-back smoothly. This seems to be fixed as of Android 4.0.

The website says you have to enter “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement” mode every time you start Windows, and says OTHERS have fixed the problem FOR them and that it's up to YOU to find out how to do that. That's completely unacceptable, and I only left it installed long enough to type this out.

I'm not one to pick on software, but these guys are behind on tech. Starters, doesnt work on HTC EVo 4G, 2nd, must download and install drivers for pc usage (by the way you dont have to do this, you can get microsoft ipcam drivers free), 3rd I seen the pay version X in action, work more pitiful than the free ipcam for android, which is, wow sad, so, in a nut shell, stay away, they need to work on this a great deal. ALSO, they dont provide uninstaller with their driver, if you install it on pc, messy messy!

I tried couple of other programs but failed to work. DroidCam worked from the first try. Setup is easy, and quality is great. The downside is that sometimes (and sometime no!) it stop camera if you touch the mobile screen or any of the mobile buttons.

It needs a signed driver. It needs compatibility with more apps, like yahoo messenger. And USB doesn't work. It says "forrward ports to phone" O.o

Its an easy installing app than other. I installed in Linux (Debian).... You may need of command-line knowledge & also 'libbluetooth3' installed on your machine... after installation of bluetooth in machine & droidcam in your phone you need to run 'droidcam' from command-line............ etc etc.
