Based on these permissions it sets how dangerous the application can be.
PermissionDog also supports realtime protection. Every time you launch an application
a notification pops up and shows how many permissions the app is using
and how dangerous that application is. (in case you missed reading the permissions when you downloaded the app).
You can exclude any app from Real Time Protection (RTP) or disable the RTP service.
It's like a really lightweight antivirus.

Giving 4 stars. Please get rid of the Back button in the top right and instead make the phone's "Back" button actually work instead of simply exiting the app. Android has a consistent hardware "back" button, I hate it when developers try to get iPhone-y and re-invent standard concepts elsewhere on the screen, it just confuses everyone. Hardware Back should only exit the app when on the initial screen.

That dog won't hunt. Why? Because the Dev won't get that dog fixed!!! It sometimes shows a white page when it should show an app.

Love the concept, but it usually only shows a me blank white screen when checking apps. When working it's good. A few tweaks and it's a 5 star!

RealTime Protection notifications cause the app to return a blank white screen when trying to view permissions and requires restart.

It does a good job of giving you an overview of which apps have too much access to your data. As others have commented, it slows everything way down if you have Real-Time Protection enabled (it scans apps each time you use them). This is on by default, which is terrible, but once you turn it off in the settings, this is a great app.

Gives a score for the "potential" threat/danger an app could pose. Don't actually monitor what the app is doing and alert you before it does anything.

Great overview, but often the lists just stay blank on Galaxy Tab / Honeycomb. Eg. when changing the order.
- Excellent app for verifying permissions. Some apps are using MORE permissons than listed on the Market, which Permission Dog caught. Thank you!

I selected this application because it was highly recommended by online mobile sites - Glad I did considering the program informs you of vital info.
