Initially when installed on my GSII it worked fine and is generally a brilliant apps that provides an amazing amount of useful security features. I tried to launch the app and login from my phone recently though and it just hangs after I submit my username and password so I can't 'activate' the handset properly to be tracked from the website. Until that gets fixed Prey is now sadly useless to me.

If you can't UNINSTALL your anti-theft software, isn't that a good thing? What would be the point if a phone thief could take it off in 15 secs?

For the last week, this app was eating 50% of my battery, when connected to wifi. Was freezing on the password screen and I was not able to log in. Thanks Michael for the tip how to uninstall it!

Just root your phone, install Prey as system app, then unroot so NOBODY (even thieves) can uninstall it.
