Screebl works based on a simple observation: we generally hold our phones or tablets in roughly the same positions when we're using them. Screebl uses the accelerometer in your mobile device to detect how you're holding your phone, and when your device is within a configurable range, the screen is kept on. Move out of that range, and Screebl releases the lock and the screen is allowed to go off. It sounds simple (and it is), but it works amazingly well!
How does Screebl save power? Well, it's simple. On most phones, the screen is the single largest consumer of battery power. With Screebl running you can reduce the average amount of time that your screen is on by only keeping it on when you're ACTUALLY using your phone. It works gr8 4 me. But it would be gr8 if u can add a setting whereby i can add applications which are excluded from screebl. Becoz i am facing problem : When in standby mode if i receive sms.. smspopup app starts up which is above Noled app. Noled app starts if sms is unread. So the smspopup app remains above Noled app in standby mode and the display light dont switch off as the app is active. So i request u to please add support for excluding certain apps from screebl in yr next version. Thankyou.

I'm reinstalling Screebl, because even though I just uninstalled it, the screen timeout is still like 5 secs, even though I have it set to 30.

This app does the opposite it claims kills battery keeps sensors on even when screen off and harmful to the device.

Does not work. Put phone down and the screen in notification bar went from green to white but it didn't shut screen off :(

Does exactly what it says. Freaking AWESOME & the Pro version is even BETTER! You can adjust the orientation settings. (HTC Sensation 4G)

Love this app but it would be great if we could define which orientation we want to use... The landscape mode only works with my Asus Transformer turned to the left which puts the volume rocker & power button on the bottom which isn't the way I would use it. Still great though!!!!
