*** To enable the keyboard, go to “Language and keyboard” settings, and check “Smart Keyboard Pro” box. Then long press in any text input area until a popup menu appears, select "Input Method" in this menu, and choose "Smart Keyboard PRO" in the list.
You can long press 123 key any time to enter keyboard settings.
A trial version is available on the market (look for the app "Smart Keyboard Trial"). Note that this Pro version is a standalone app, you don't need the Trial to use it.
If you find bugs such as FORCE CLOSE issues, please go to the web site and CONTACT THE SUPPORT. If you want help, it's completely useless to leave bad comments here as we cannot contact you!
Ignore the warning about the keyboard "collecting your personal data", this is a standard Android message when you activate any third party input method.

when i realized that the HTC Desire S has a bug in its default messaging software (and they haven't corrected it yet) i was looking for the replacement. after 1 month using this (i was using the trial version for about a week), i can safely say that i have found a superb replacement. never into T9, i can't say anything about it, but i can type more accurately and faster than using the standard keyboard. maybe swype option could be added in future update so we can choose normal or swype texting? Great app!!!

I have compared most popular Android keyboards. This one seems to be the best. I used to like the keyboards focusing on prediction, like SwiftKey X, but I find that I am slowed down by looking for the prediction results. Smart Keyboard is the best tap typing keyboard I have used. I find I can type faster, and this keyboard is the most configurable keyboard I have used. I love being able to change the skin of the keyboard and set the opacity level so I can see what the keyboard is hiding.

Thia keyboard is excellent , only 1 bad thing about this keyboard , the text input still slow .. but i think it's better than other keyboards ..

Love this keyboard...I own the Casio Commando (rugged,mil-spec Android) and the phone is great! Only thing is, the stock keyboard is not the typical Android one. Stock one isn't terrible, but nothing to brag on either. Smart Keyboard, however, is something to brag on. With the customization options, you can truly make this your own. It is very responsive (though input speed does slightly lag) has great themes, sounds, and a smart dictionary...it has the whole package! Looking forward to future updates.

For t9 this is the meanest keyboard out there. The pro version has the bugs fixed and the intelligent word with user dictionary is the best I've used

Best keyboard for me! But that lang icon in the taskbar is annoying. Please make an option to remove it.

Love it! It's the reason I kept this phone. The standard keyboards drove me nuts with predictive text working even though I turned it off! I'm able to customize this one exactly how I want this to work. I don't care for swiping so not sure if it has it. You can install the trial and completely test it, unlike other keyboard apps.

Its a great app, but I want one bug to gettin fixed, I go to spell a word and pitty completely spells a whole different word, HTC droid incredible 2.
