Supported Phones: GPS Trails Pro is designed and optimized for the Android phones.

Battery Life: While we optimize our code to cut down on power requirements, continued use of the GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. For longer dayhikes or overnight trips, we suggest packing lightweight battery packs to charge the phone.

Follow Us: We’ve created a Facebook page for our mobile apps to discuss upcoming releases, new features, and your feedback. Your feedback helps us create a better app. Go to: facebook.com/backpackergpstrails.

I would have probably had to call search and rescue about 5 times if it wasn't for this app. My boss and the USFS thanks you.....

Not accurate and you do need service to be able to use. I know because i just finished section hiking and it was useless. Biggest waste of $10 ever.

Ok. But needs work

Not bad but needs a little work. Menus take up too much screen space in landscape mode. Not enough stats for some items.

Works

Works, but not great to work with. The marketing crape like Facebook makes it a pain too. I uninstalled it.

I was looking for trail maps, not ten mile hikes.

Great for day hikes. Battery doesn't drain as fast if phone is on airplane mode. Who wants their phone to ring on a hike anyway?

FUBARd. Impossible to login, it rejects a valid account that works fine on the website.

Worked well, even under a dense canopy.

Not very user friendly, drains battery, over priced, not very good for tracking long distance monthly hikes, good for day hikes

Pretty much awesome...but KILLS the battery. Won't be practical when unplugged.
