Age of Defenders brings Tower Offense to Android Tablets
What’s better than a Tower Defense game? Simple answer… a Tower Offense game! A new Android game from Cuketa called Age of Defenders gives you Tower Defense & Offense all in one great looking package. If that wasn’t enough it’s also a multiplayer cross-platform game for Android, iOS devices, Macs, and PC’s. The multiplayer aspect of the game is one of the main selling points as you’ll be playing against other players across the globe on different devices instead of some silly old AI. What if you’re a loner and don’t play well with others? No problem, as Cuketa also threw in a campaign mode with 5 single player missions and two levels of difficulty. Here’s a brief rundown of some of the features…
• Multiplayer mode – challenge players worldwide
• Five single player campaign with Easy and Hard difficulty
• 6 tower types for your protection
• 6 unit types for conquering anybody who dares to stand against you
• Super Slick graphics
• Awesome Atmospheric music
The only drawback I found to the game is the fact I can’t play it yet as I don’t have a tablet. Yup, Age of Defenders is only for Tablets supporting a resolution of 1280×800. Unfortunately for me, I’m holding out for the Asus Transformer Prime, but I’ll definitely give the game a shot as soon as I get my tablet. There has been no mention of phones being supported with the game in the future, and after seeing how glorious the game looked on a buddy’s Xoom I wouldn’t expect it to be.
It’s a very well made game, but I don’t think it would be half as fun or look near as good on a phone’s small screen. Age of Defenders is one of the few games out there that I would call a true tablet game, and it looks to be a great one as well. If you can run it, you should definitely check it out as it’s one of the coolest RTS games I’ve seen in awhile. You can pick up Age of Defenders for $2.99 in the Android Market.
