Box It 2 Android Game Review
Thanks to Amazon for featuring Box It 2 Androd game as its free app of the day. I was able to grab the app and played it for several hours. Overall, it was a pretty fun game with enough puzzle challenge to keep you hooked into solving for several hours. I remember playing the first Box It game but I don’t remember exactly whether it was on my iPhone or android smartphone.
Anyway, this game takes you in control of our Marv, an explorer who is out on a quest to unlock the mysteries of the Kazarakt, an ancient Incan city. Your objective it to lead our little hero towards the city, as you traverse one puzzle maze after another. To advance from one level to another you must move statues on designated spots. The number of statues that you need to move vary from one level to another.
Simple enough? Actually, that’s not all there is to this game. To obtain the highest score possible you must finish the puzzle in as little time and fewest steps as possible. You’ll see the maximum steps that you can take as well as the maximum lenght of time to solve a puzzle, flashed on the upper left corner of your screen. If you fail to solve the puzzle and forced to restart the game, you’ll receive a penalty the next round.
Overall, gameplay is pretty basic and yet I was amazed at how challenging these level can get. I had to restart the game several times before I could finally solve some of them. The game is well conceived and executed specifically the strategic positioning of the statues in relation to the given maze.
Making the game even more enticing and entertaining is the somewhat mysterious background theme playing in the background as you move from one maze to another. The sound adds some mystical element to the game.
When it comes to graphics, Box It 2 Android game delivers enough details and vividness that give justice to Android smartphones with advanced screen display such as the Samsung Galaxy S 2.
If you’re looking for a simple and yet challenging puzzle game to play, Box It 2 is a pretty good option. Box It 2 is available now as free download from both the Android Market and the Amazon App Store.
