Dell Streak 7 Tablet Expected to Launch on T-Mobile in 2011
There is a strong possibility that Dell will reveal a seven inch Dell Streak tablet at CES 2011 running Android 2.2 for launch on T-Mobile. You may remember the failed launch of the Dell Streak 5, mainly because it operated on an outdated OS and was a weird cross between smartphone and tablet. The Dell Streak 7 is the revamped version and will hopefully be the tablet from Dell we have long anticipated.
CellPhoneSignal picked up the scoop and claims the Dell Streak 7 will launch with a rear and front facing camera with LED flash. The prospect of Android 2.2 is nice, but with the Tablet-centric Android OS right around the corner (Android 3.0), I would be more interested in the Streak 7 running Android 3.0. In addition, it is quite possible the Dell Streak 7 will run on T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ network, making the tablet that much more desirable.
As with most rumors, look for official confirmation in the coming days as CES 2011 is approaching quickly.
