Dish Network Announces New App for Live TV Streaming
Have you ever wanted to stream Live TV on your Android smartphone device? Well, Dish Network has some good news because it plans on rolling out a new Android App in October which will allow customers to watch Live TV. In addition, Dish Network will revamp its app for iPhone to include live streaming, and it will launch a BlackBerry app available in September.
Fortunately for Android users, the app will be available for no additional cost and most channels should be available for viewing on your mobile device. No word on which version(s) of Android the app will support, but I’m sure we will learn more information as we approach October. For the app to work accurately and enable live streaming, you will need a SlingBox accompanying your Dish Network subscription or Dish’s proprietary HD DVR.
