Disney brings Wreck-it Ralph to Android
I’ve always been a fan of Disney, but their latest movie Wreck-it Ralph really got my attention as it’s all about video games. Considering the subject matter it’s only natural that there’s a Wreck-it Ralph video game, but is it any good? Read on to find out…
Wreck-it Ralph the game is actually 3 games in one with Fix-it Felix Jr., Hero’s Duty, and Sweet Climber. All the games are accessed from “Game Central Station” which acts as a hub for the mini-games and showcases the best scores for each game. First up you’ve got Fix-it Felix Jr. which is a Donkey Kong style game that has Felix fixing windows while climbing up a skyscraper behind a window-wreaking Ralph. Candy Climber is an Endless Climbing game involving jet-packs full of soda and candy stalks reaching into the heavens. Last but not least we’ve got Hero’s Duty which lets you play as Sergeant Calhoun as you try to blast the cy-bugs off the face of the earth. I didn’t notice many extras to speak of, but could have easily missed something as I rushed to keep Ralph from wrecking my chances at the 15-minute refund window.
Personally, I wasn’t overly impressed with the trio of games even though I loved the movie Wreck-it Ralph. The games are nice, but a little too simple for my tastes considering what they could have done with a land populated by video game characters. That being said, the kids will probably dig this one and there’s another game called Turbo Time that’s listed as coming soon. There isn’t a free version available at this time, but the full version of Disney’s Wreck-it Ralph can be yours for only $0.99.
