Evernote Android App Gets a Massive Update in Versio 2.0

The folks at Evernote has just announced the availability of their Evernote 2.0 Android app from the Android Market. And guess what, don’t even think that this is a minor update, because it is definitely not. In fact, the new features brought in by Evernote 2.0 will make you think that a fresh new app has just been launched. But it is not. It’s still the same productivity app that most of loved using in various platforms.
So, what are the new features of Evernote 2.0? Here’s a quick rundown:
- a new, cleaner and more intuitive home screen with the same green theme
- a new search interface with the magnifying glass placed on top of every screen
- new views and more options after opening up notes
- easier sorting and browsing
- faster browsing, viewing and searching through notes
- simpler notes creation
- Google search widgets
- home screen shortcuts for any note or search
- audio recording as you type
- downloading of attachments when viewing notes
- option to store notes on the SD card

Massive update, right? Wait, there’s one more. And possibly this would make you even more excited especially if you are an Evernote Premium account holder. You can no saved specific notebooks for offline viewing later on. According to Evernote, this is one of the most requested features by Evernote users.
