Evernote Android app updated to version 4.0 with completely new look

Finally, Evernote Android app has been updated to fully take advantage of the many features and capabilities of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. According to Evernote, the updated version is by far the most powerful app that Evernote has released for Android. You’ll see the changes made to the app the moment you fire it up after updating your installation. The app’s homescreen has been completely redesigned. You’ll now see note creation options with buttons that will take you directly into notebooks, tags and places. The new homescreen is also now easier to use and you can jump to it faster than before

The updated Evernote Android app also gave the app’s note and notebooks list a major upgrade. The look and feel of the note list is very different now, making it easier to browse content and find what you’re looking for. The notebook list brings together personal notebooks and the ones shared to you by other Evernote app users – via a single view.

There’s also now contextual Action Bars which run along the bottom of several screens. This Action Bar lets you access various options depending on what screen you’re in. This gives you more things to do while on a specific screen.

Other new features of the updated Evernote Android app include – new note view for easier reading, swipe navigation, assigning of location to notes you’ve created and new settings.

Overall, this is a major update to the app. And if you’re using Evernote Android app, you’ll love it even more right after you’ve updated your app. Evernote Android app is available as a free download on Google Play.
