Google Unveils the Beautiful Nexus S Android Phone!

Two years ago Google unveils its first take on the smartphone market when it released the Google Nexus One. Much has happened since then. And just when we thought the Google is abandoning its smartphone business, here comes the might G releasing their second Android phone – Hello there Google Nexus S!

Can you feel the excitement in the tone of my post? That’s how I felt when I first learned about the Google Nexus One two years ago. Interestingly, despite the not so successful run of the Google Nexus One, I still feel the same excitement towards the Nexus S.

Enough of the blabber and lets get on with the show. So, what does the Nexus S has in store for us? Of course, the Nexus S will have the honor of getting the Android 2.3 (aka Gingerbread) running for its OS. Google has also announced Android 2.3 today.

The Nexus S, just like the Google Nexus One is a co-branded smartphone. This time it’s not HTC anymore but another major player in the Android Phone Market who is making the Nexus S – none other than Samsung.

Google Nexus S Key Features

One of the key features of the Nexus S is NFC (near field communication)  hardware which let you read information from NFC tags. For the uninitiated, NGC is a fast, versatile short-range wireless technology that can be embedded in all kinds of everyday objects like movie poster, stickers and t-shirts.

And with Gingerbread inside, the Nexus S with have better user interface refinements, NFC support, new keyboard and text selection tool, Internet (VoIP/SIP) calling, improved copy/paste functionality and gyroscope sensor support.
