Google’s Foray Into The Tablet Department With The Nexus 7 Tablet Will Begin In July
According to a recent report by DigiTimes, Google and Asus will reportedly unveil the Nexus 7 Tablet at next week’s Google I/O Developer Conference. The tablet continues with the Nexus legacy and will be marketed at a low price in order to appeal to the masses. It isn’t a media powerhouse with high-end hardware, but a mid-range device with an appealing price tag.
Sources at an upstream supply company claim it is ready to ship, but will launch in July for a $199 price tag. Since it bears a low price tag, Google decided to leave out a rear facing camera and opt for a WiFi only solution. We’re hoping the internal processor is at least a Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core processor and the 7 inch screen resolution is around 1280 x 720.
Come June 27, we expect to have official confirmation from Google. With the multitude of Nexus 7 tablet rumors hitting the web as of late, it is almost a guarantee for the Google and Asus Nexus 7 tablet.
