Hit the Track with Race of Champions for Android

The first thing I thought when I fired up Race of Champions on my buddy’s phone was…. WOW!  If you like racing games, Race of Champions by Invictus is one of the slickest looking racing games in recent memory. It uses real cars, has real tracks and uses input taken from real drivers including Michèle Mouton plus Marc Duez.

For car enthusiasts, Race of Champions has some pretty good options in this area. You can use the WV Scirocco, Skoda Fabia S2000, ROC Car, and Solution F Prototype just to name a few.  There are some very nice racetracks as well with recreations from ROC events in London, Paris, Gran Canaria, and Barcelona with more on the way soon. Race of Champions also features three different modes of play with Championship Mode, Duel Mode, and Time Challenge. Last but not least, the game has three different styles of steering with Tilt, Tap, and a Virtual steering wheel; I appreciate this feature as I’ve sometimes had a hard time adjusting to steering with my phone so it’s nice to have some options in that area.  I wish I could tell you a little more about the game itself, but that’s all I’ve got as I have only been able to play it on a friends device due to the fact that I can’t seem to get the resources to download. It’s understandable though as it is a high-quality free game so I’m sure they’re getting slammed with downloads. That being said it came out 4-5 days ago, so come on guys…

Race of Champions “looks” to be a great game, and the graphics are definitely easy on the eyes. Some users are still having issues with the game; mainly not being able to download the game files and random crashes. The developers have been working on the issue and the game has been updated several times, so if you had trouble before it may be all good now. You can check out Race of Champions in the Android market for free.
