HTC Incredible HD Surfaces, Confirmed To Have Android 2.2, LTE, and Sense 2.0

One of the hottest phones rumored to launch shortly after Verizon debuts its 4G LTE network is the HTC Incredible HD/HTC Mecha. Several rumors about the device — pinning it as an EVO-esque device on Verizon Wireless — has been floating around for some time now, but we have never seen an image of the device up and running. Apparently someone spilled an image to AndroidCentral revealing the beautiful HTC Incredible HD running Android 2.2, HTC Sense 2.0, and, of course, Verizon’s LTE network.

Even though the phone is rumored to operate on Android 2.2, consider the timeframe of the phone’s probable release — not before 2011; therefore Froyo would already be outdated in favor of Gingerbread (Android 2.3). With that minor gripe aside, the HTC Incredible HD is currently achieving speeds of 9Mbps down and 5Mbps up.

You know, Verizon Wireless is well known for its Droid lineup of phones, but HTC puts up a good fight with its Droid Incredible and the soon to be Incredible HD.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
