HTC One X is headed to AT &T on May 6th for $199
The phone wars are heating up and today we finally gotten some solid information about one of this year’s new super phones the HTC One X. AT&T customers will be able to pick up the HTC One X on May 6th, but pre-orders will start on April 22nd.
The HTC One X AT&T is getting is actually the HTC Once XL which touts a dual-core S4 from Qualcomm over the quad-core Tegra 3 that’s in the international version of the phone. They decided to pull a chip swap to help with battery life and because of the whole LTE thing. Everything else stays the same, you’ll still get your 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a nice big dose of Android 4.0 otherwise known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Even with the core change the HTC One X looks to be a super slick phone and a device HTC fans will love.
Pre-orders will be live this weekend or you can risk it and try to get one at your local AT&T store on May 6th. It’s shaping up to be a great year for Android owners, and there are going to be a lot of different devices to choose from. Samsung, ASUS, HTC, Moto… the list goes on and on. I already know what my next phone and tablet will be (Galaxy SIII & ASUS 300t) so I’m luck as my choices are already made and my devices should be released in less than a month. For others, the choices are going to be numerous probably a bit consuming compared to Apples approach. Are you excited about all the upcoming devices or is too much of a good thing a bad thing?
