HTC Ruby Rumored To Feature 1.5GHz Dual-Core Processor, 4.3 inch qHD Display

The HTC Ruby has been teased for T-Mobile for quite some time now, but we’ve only seen a few image leaks of the device and hardly ever heard of any possible specs, launch date, or pricing.  Today, however, TmoNews is reporting about some of the specs we can likely expect on the Ruby as well as a vague time frame.

First things first, the Ruby is expected to boast a powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3 inch qHD touch screen display, 8MP rear facing camera, 2MP front facing camera, and dedicated physical buttons for video and camera.  In addition, Bluetooth 3.0 and 1GB of RAM are also standard.  Interestingly, it won’t be under the myTouch brand, so perhaps it will be a follow-up device to the Sensation by HTC.  Unfortunately, there is no mention of 4G connectivity on the Ruby, but I assume it comes with 4G support.

The time frame at this point is a guarantee that it will launch before the year is up, but my guess is that it comes in October or November, after the Samsung Galaxy S II launches.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
