HTC Wildfire S Announced for August 3rd Launch With T-Mobile

T-Mobile announced that the upcoming HTC Wildfire S will be officially available starting August 3rd for $79.99 on a two year agreement, after a $50 MIR.  The Wildfire S is marketed as a mid-range device appealing to those who want to save on the initial cost of the smartphone and doesn’t need something with industry-leading technology.

The Wildfire S features a 600MHz processor, 3.2 inch touch screen display, 5MP rear facing camera, Android 2.3, HTC Sense, 512MB of RAM, WiFi, GPS, and Swype.  In addition, it is available in both white and black, however, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club will have an exclusive on the black Wildfire S.
