Is the Samsung Forte MetroPCS’ Next LTE Smartphone?
According to SamsungHub, MetroPCS could be getting ready to launch a LTE Android smartphone manufactured by Samsung. The Samsung Forte bears strong resemblance to the Samsung Epic 4G on Sprint, as both phones feature a horizontal QWERTY slider keyboard, 5MP rear camera, 1GHz processor, and what looks like a front facing camera. No word on the screen size of the device, but my guess would be a 4 inch Super AMOLED display. The Forte would have a leg up over the Epic because it will launch with Android 2.2 with a possible upgrade to Android 2.3 in the future. The Samsung Forte looks like a great addition to MetroPCS’ LTE lineup of smartphones and hopefully the pricing is competitive. At this point, it is just a rumor but hopefully we will have more concrete information soon.
