Kairosoft bringing Pocket Academy to Android
Growing up I hated school like damn near everyone else I knew, but now that I’m all growed up building a school might be fun. That “seems” to be the premise behind a new Kairosoft game that crept into existence last week. Two prestigious Academy of Pocket is the translated name of the new game, but iOS users already know it as Pocket Academy.
As you might expect little is known about the newest title, but they do say “Let’s press the youth of a dream school management game, in love and club activities”. This lets us know it’s about building up a school, selecting classes, and placement for your students. There is mention of Art appreciation classes and tournament ball, so I’m guessing it will follow the same great formula of build it, bring them in, upgrade, unlock, and buy more. Pocket Academy has gotten high marks from iOS users so you can expect the Android version to be just as good.
I like to cover these Japanese versions when the drop, but Pocket Academy didn’t give me much to go off of this time except for the usual hilarious translated market description. There has been no date given for the English version, and I’m not going to say “we’ll definitely get it” as we still haven’t seen an English version of the clothing story game yet and it’s been out for awhile now. We’ll let you know as soon as we find out more about the game, until then you can check out the Japanese version of Pocket Academy for $5.56 on Google Play. I’m not that hardcore, but I know a lot of our readers are so if you do give the game a go, let us know what you think!
EDIT – Well, looks like it’s out now! You can read a little more about it here or pick up the English version from the link below.
