LG Viper 4G LTE on Sprint Will Launch Later This Month For $99 on Contract

During CES 2012, the LG Viper 4G LTE was announced by Sprint as one of its first phones operating on its brand-new 4G LTE network.  In addition to the Viper 4G LTE, the Galaxy Nexus by Samsung is going to launch, but it looks like the title of first 4G LTE device will be given to the Viper by LG.

Starting April 12, Sprint will begin taking pre-orders for the Viper as it is going to launch sometime later this month.  The two year contract price for the device is $99, which is a solid price given its high-end specs and 4G LTE connectivity.  In terms of specs and features, the Viper boasts Android 2.3, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear facing camera, a front facing camera, and NFC capabilities.  Lastly, it will contain a 4 inch touch screen display, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

It is also an eco-friendly Android smartphone, so you can be confident it was engineered in an efficient manner where no materials were wasted.  Again, it is available for pre-order starting April 12 with its exact launch taking place shortly thereafter.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
