LinkedIn Android App Gets a Much Needed Redesign
The new LinkedIn Android app is said to be between two and ten times faster than the previous version. This cuts across all of the app’s features including searching, reading your LinkedIn update stream, answering messages and more.
The new LinkedIn Android app is also simpler than the previous version. If you’ve installed the previous LinkedIn app you will surely appreciate the changes made to this completely re-organized version. Specifically, the new version of the app brings changes to Updates, Inbox, You and Groups and More. Specific changes to these features are as follow:
- Updates: View updates from your network and top news from LinkedIn Today
- Inbox: You can view your invitations and messages in one place
- You: Access your profile, connections, share updates, and even more in the future
- Groups & More: Browse and interact with your groups, as well as build your network through our People You May Know feature
With the re-designed feature, the app makes it easier for you to accomplish tasks easily and find what you are looking for the first time you download the app.
Finally, the LinkedIn Android app is simply better, with the Update stream starting up the app as soon as you fire it up. According to the LinkedIn blog, this is one of the most frequently used areas of the app, so it now becomes the default view of the Android app.
Other new features include the addition of Groups.
LinkedIn Android is available now as a free download from the Android Market.
