Live life as a Rock with Sim Stone from Sugart

Overview
One of the reasons I’ve always loved the Android market compared to iTunes is the fact that you never quite know what you’re going to come across. Such is the case with an odd new Android game/app called Sim Stone from Sugart.
Let me start by saying I’m a huge fan of Sim games, so I automatically try almost anything with “Sim” in the title. Stone Sim is not your typical simulation game. You’re not going to fight dragons, robots or ninjas, and there are no upgrades. Want to level up and take over the world? Not gonna’ happen in Stone Sim. What Stone Sim does is let you simulate life as a rock in all its mundane glory. When you start Stone Sim you simply click New Stone to begin your existence which is basically sitting on a hilltop and chillin’. From there you can clean your area and check your stats, but that’s it. You’re supposed to see changes in your rock over time, but mine is only 1,007 seconds old at the time of this writing so he hasn’t even hit puberty yet. The developer also states there are 9 different characters rocks to choose from, but I’ve only seen two so I’m not sure what’s up with that.
Verdict
Sim Stone isn’t about the action or glory, but somehow my mysterious little rock has managed grow on me. He’s now known as El Guapo and is slowly aging as I type, I’m not sure how long his lifespan will be but I am curious to find out. Stone Sim definitely isn’t going to be for everyone, but I got a kick out of it and you might too. You can check out Sugart’s Sim Stone on Google Play for the low price of free.
