Mobage’s Tiny Tower out now for Android

Way back in 1997 a little game called SimTower came out, and I lost weeks months of my free time trying to build up my tower. I always loved that game as I know a lot of other folks did, and now thanks to Mobage I’ve got a similar game to play for Android. Tiny Tower is a brand new Tower building game that lets you build and manage a tiny tower along with all the businesses and “bitizens” that inhabit it.

The concept of the game is simple as you’ll build up your tower floor by floor and deck them out for businesses or residents. Tiny Tower is a time-based building game, so everything you build will require a certain amount of time to complete, but can be sped up by using Tower Bux which can be earned or purchased in the game. There are 6 types of floors to build, but you’ll do a lot more than just build floors as you’ll need to keep businesses stocked, find residents jobs, and even deliver the occasional package. There is a brief tutorial that will walk you through the basics of the game which is great considering there’s a lot more to this Tiny game than meets the eye.

The first game from Mobage to suck me in was Pocket Frogs which I still play, but it looks like I’m going to be making time for Tiny Tower now as well. There’s a lot more to do in the game than I thought, and while it’s a time based game there’s plenty to do to keep you busy while your structures are going up. Tiny Towers even has its own social network with “Bitbook” that lets you look into your residents minds to see what they’re thinking. Very cool game, and one I plan on spending quite a bit of time with over the coming weeks ahead. You can grab Tiny Tower from the Android market for free.
