Motorola Announces Android 3.2 Will Be Coming to Verizon Xooms in the “Coming Weeks”
Only a few days ago, the WiFi version of the Motorola Xoom began to receive the Android 3.2 update which enabled the SD card slot as well as the ability to zoom in on apps. At the time, there was no word from Motorola or Verizon Wireless regarding the time frame for the Android 3.2 update on the Verizon Wireless branded 3G Xoom tablets.
Fortunately, Motorola announced earlier today through Twitter that the Verizon Wireless Xoom would receive the Android 3.2 update “in the coming weeks.” We’re not sure if Motorola is referring to the end of July or the beginning of August, but I believe Xoom 3G owners on Verizon will have access to their SD cards before August is over. I’m sure we’ll hear more details from Motorola regarding the exact rollout date for the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update soon enough.
