Motorola Charm Receives a $25 Price Drop

T-Mobile’s latest Android Smartphone is the Motorola Charm, a candybar, low-end Android device designed to meet the needs of individuals on a restricted budget. Previously, it sold for $74.99 but recently received a price cut of $25, so it now sells for $49.99. Personally, for its specs, I always believed $75 was a bit costly for a simple device, so I find its new price of $49.99 more enticing.

The Motorola Charm feature a 2.8 inch touch screen, portrait-style QWERTY keyboard, 3MP camera, Android 2.1, MOTOBLUR UI skin, BACKTRACK navigation, WiFi, and GPS. The Charm only launched a few short weeks ago, so it is surprising to see a price cut this early, but it was probably done in order to boost sales. T-Mobile already offers a top notch high-end device in the Samsung Vibrant, therefore the Charm offers a nice balance.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
