Motorola Xoom Sales “off to a good start” Claims Sanjay Jha
While Motorola CEO, Sanjay Jha, refuses to offer official numbers on how many Motorola Xoom units have sold, he does concede that Sales are “off to a good start” and seem to, at least, meet his expectations.
The Xoom is priced relatively high — $599 on contract, $799 off contract — but it is a high quality tablet that is being praised around the tech industry. The tablet niche is relatively new and still expanding, and with much of it owned by ereaders and iPads, it will take some doing for Android to carve out its own niche within the tablet market. However, it’s nice to see the Motorola Xoom doing a good job of trailblazing the Android tablet path.

Not sure how many units the various stores had in stock, but apparently there was enough demand to sell out.
