Netflix pushes its mobile app to selected Android phones

Netflix has just made their Android app available on the Android Market. The Netflix Android app allows you to instantly watch TV shows and movies streaming if you’re a Netflix member. With this app you can watch TV shows and movies as often as you want , resume watching where you left off on your TV or compute, browse movies and manage your instant Queue right from your Android phones.

Unfortunately, not all Android phones are currently supported by the Netflix Android app. Netflix attributes this to the fact that there is now standard streaming playback features for all Android devices. Hence, Netflix has to test each individual Android handsets and launch their Android app on those handsets that can support streaming and playback of TV shows and movies. But Netflix promises to make their application available to other Android phones.

In the meantime, if you own any of the following Android phones and you are a Netflix member, you might want to give this Android app a try. The Android phones currently supported by the Netflix Android app include - HTC Incredible with Android 2.2, HTC Nexus One with Android 2.2, 2.3, HTC Evo 4G with Android 2.2, HTC G2 with Android 2.2 , and Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3.

The Netflix Android app is available as a free download from the Android Market.
