New Samsung SCH-i405 Slider Leaks, Looks to be a Mid-Range 4G LTE Smartphone
A few images of a purported QWERTY Slider manufactured by Samsung for launch on Verizon Wireless has recently been leaked. Unfortunately, due to its mid-range nature, many believe it is not the elusive Samsung Galaxy S II, but a mid-range LTE offering from Samsung.
The rumored SCH-i405 features a 1GHz single-core processor, a 480×800 resolution screen (unfortunately, not a qHD screen, but then again it is a mid-range device), five row sliding QWERTY keyboard, runs Android 2.3.4, and comes packed with a 4G LTE radio. In addition, it comes with a 5MP rear facing camera and a 1.3MP front facing camera.
Personally, I wonder how Verizon will price the SCH-i405, because the current 4G devices are priced exuberantly above the $200 price point. I believe an affordable priced mid-range Android 4G LTE smartphone will be a hit for Verizon customers, and provide a 4G LTE alternative to the 3G Motorola Droid 3.
Lastly, if these are the specs for a mid-range Samsung slider on Verizon, who’s excited for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II on Verizon?
