Owlchemy Labs releases Smuggle Truck for Android

Overview

Smuggle Truck, Snuggle Truck or whatever you want to call it… I’ve been hearing about this game from my iPhone friends since the first of the year. Well, now I’ll no longer have to hear about it as Owlchemy Labs has finally released the quirky little game for Android.

There are two versions of the game available; one is Snuggle Truck while the other is Smuggle truck. I assume they are basically the same game expect one lets you smuggle people while the other uses cute lil’ animals. I played “Smuggle Truck” so we’ll just stick with that. Smuggle Truck lets you take control of an old pickup truck with the goal of helping truckloads full of immigrants get across the border. You’ll have to keep the pedal to the metal as you zip through stages trying to keep your passengers safe and catching a few babies along the way. Smuggle Truck has plenty of levels, power-ups, and a unique medal reward system for different gameplay styles If that’s not exciting enough for you, there’s also a level portal that supplies you with user-created levels which work to extend the gameplay into infinity and beyond.

Verdict

Smuggle Truck is a game that has definitely lived up to the hype thus far. I’ve been playing regular and user-created levels for over an hour now and it’s been a blast. The graphics are super-slick and very easy on the eyes and the physics-based gameplay is top notch. There isn’t a free version of either game available at the moment, but Smuggle Truck or Snuggle Truck is a real deal at only $3.99. Check back later in the week for a full review of this bad little game, until then I highly recommend you head over to Google Play and check it out for yourself.
