Paid Android Apps Expand to More Countries
So now, the process gets more legit and eliminates the need to run the Market Enabler app for as long as you’re in the following countries – Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan.
If you’re a developer and you have targeted your apps to be available to “All Locations,” you don’t need to do anything, your app will be available for sale in the countries just added. If you have not done this process yet and you want to make your apps available for sale in the said countries, all you need to do is visit the Android Market publisher site and adjust your apps’ settings.
With this development, the Google Android Market is now available in 39 countries and Google says that more countries will be added soon. Hopefully when payment option arrangements are settled. Certainly, this will add some excitement to the Android Market and perhaps push its market share closer to Apple’s App Store.
One baby steps at a time, and I’m pretty sure the Android OS will be there.
