Pocket Planes flies onto Android

Another popular iOS title has made it’s way onto the Android platform. This time around it is Pocket Planes by NimbleBit that has been given the Android treatment and been turned into an Android game. The airline management simulator game has been available for iOS devices since June and has racked up 2.4 millions downloads and with an Android release, the company are sure to get even more downloads of their popular game.

By the name of the game, you may think Pocket Planes is a flight simulator game but, you would only be right about the simulator bit. In Pocket Planes you are given the job of managing your own virtual airline. That means players must build the airline, including runways and add planes. The airline company can also be expanded and newer and better planes and jets can be purchased. The graphics are rather simple but, it is touted as an addicting game none the less. Unfortunately, users are reporting some issues with the game at present, such as passengers disappearing midflight which in turns affects the payment to the virtual airline company. Some users are also reporting that the game has frozen their phone altogether, although this is one of the less common problems. Other Android gamers say that their game notifications crash.

If you can overlook the bugs that are currently present in the game, you can download Pocket Planes from the Google Play Store for free. You may also notice that on Android, the game has not been published by NimbleBit LLC but, rather Mobage as the game has been released under the Mobage Social Entertainment Network like other NimbleBit games, such as Tiny Tower.
