FlightBoard Android App Review

If you travel a lot or fly a lot, you’ll definitely find this new Android app called FlightBoard. This Android basically turns your Android phone into an arrivals and departures board that lets you check out your favorite airports and view flight information in real-time as well.

Incidentally, in case you’re not aware, FlightBoard Android app was developed by the same people who did Flight Track which we reviewed recently. And similar with FlightTrack, FlightBoard Android app features a simple and yet sleek-looking interface. And yes, FlightTrack is integrated with FlightBoard Android app.

Feature-wise, you couldn’t ask for more. This app certainly got many features that you will really find useful if you travel often. FlightBoard Android covers more than 4000 airports and 1400 airlines worldwide. It is updated every 5 minutes so you can rest assure that all information it provies are up-to-date. Other nice features of FlightBoard include – real-time status for any flight, exceptional search interface, quick switching between departures and arrival boards, sharing flight info with friends and family via Twitter, Facebook, SMS, and email.

Interface-wise, this app definitely has one of most user-friendly interface. The moment you fire up the app, you’ll be presented with an almost clear screen. You can then populate this clean screen by simply typing the name of  a specific country. You can also toggle between departure and arrival data easily.

Overall, Flightboard is a pretty useful Android app especially for those who travel a lot. Flighboard Android app is available from the Android Market for $3.99.
