Foursquare Made Us Happy with Version 2.0 of its Android App

Alright Foursquare fans, time to beef up our check-in activities and be more active creating helpful tips and to-do’s. Foursquare just released version 2.0 of its Android app and we couldn’t be more happier with the new version of this powerful tool for sharing and discovery.

Foursquare 2.0 is now a cleaner app with more emphasis on making the check-in activities more useful and fruitful by way of an easier interface for adding tips and to-dos.  What we mean is that, this two important feature of Foursquare Android app have become easier to use for sharing and planning your outings.

Foursquare Tips and To-Dos are now out in the open.  Meaning it’s now readily available as one of the menu options located on the top of your Android phone’s screen when running the app.  In addition, call-outs for Tips and To-Do’s is now spread across the different pages of the app,  similar to a Digg button or Facebook Like icon. When you tap on this call-out, you can add the place to your To-Do list so that you can check it up later on.

Now here’s an interesting feature of Foursquare 2.0. Whenever you add something into your To-Do list, you’d see a blue “dog ear” for that place when it pops out in your nearby places list the next time you visit the place.

If the features of Foursquare 2.0 for Android seems familiar to you, well you’re probably using Foursquare on an iPhone too. This update then brings the Foursquare Android app at par with its iPhone sibling.

Foursquare 2.0 is available now as an update from the Android Marketplace. Go on, you can tap on that Android Market app icon now.
