GO Launcher EX Android App Review
While the Spark Android app which we reviewed recently may offer something new for Android phones in terms of homescreen interface, some of you may not be too keen on completely revamping your Android phone’s interface at all. Spark is a great Android skin but then it departs from the usual Android interface. So, here’s another one that will not stray away from the Android interface norm and it’s called GO Launcher EX.
GO Launcher Ex Android app is an alternative Android phone launcher which is very much similar to the default Android launcher as well as another third-party launcher called Launcher Pro. Like Launcher Pro, GO Launcher EX gives you those docks which you find at the bottom of your Android phone’s screen. You can swipe it off from left to right or vice versa and you can customize if further by replacing the default option to shortcuts that you often use.
From the homescreen you can select various options to change the behavior and appearance of the launcher. You can change your Android phone’s WallPaper, Search your phone, Share the app, Setup Preferences and Change Settings.
GO Launcher Ex also gives you unlimited number of homescreens which you can fill up with app icons, shortcuts and useful widgets. Inside the Application screen, the app organize your apps into “All Apps,” “Currently running,” and “Recent.” Tapping on the “Currently Running” app will give you several options – lock, go to, close and information about the app. If you select close, you will be redirected to the app installation menu where you can choose whether to uninstall the app. You can also easily delete apps by long tapping on its icon which will shake off the apps and display the “x” button. For iPhone users, this is similar to how you delete apps. Simply tapping on the back button will remove this “x” button.
Overall, GO Launcher Ex is a pretty nice Android launcher app. If you don’t like Spark’s different approach to the Android interface, GO Launcher Ex is an equally great option.

I have used this right from the start. I even purchased the ADW Launcher and much prefer GO Launcher. I look forward to additional themes, esp. third party options. So far Go Launcher has about 3-5 themes they’ve provided and they’re excellent and easily inter-changeable with custom backgrounds and other icons.
As I learn more about the TrulyEpicRebirth root and applications for the Epic, it seems like I’m in some sort of Android Cult!
