WinAmp Android App Arrives with Wi-Fi Sync
Remember the popular music player WinAmp? If I remember it correctly, WinAmp was the first music player I used when I first got my desktop computer a long, long time ago. So now, guess what? WinAmp just made its latest iteration via a very nice Android App. Best feature of WinAmp Android app has got to be its Wi-Fi synching feature as well as its ability to update your Android phone’s library from a Windows instance of WinAmp. Additionally, the app also lets you tune into Shoutcast at MP3 radio streams without the need for a separate app.
Incidentally, WinAmp Android app is being released by AOL, so you are pretty sure that you’re getting a robust and well developed Android app.
Aside from the features mentioned above, WinAmp Android app also lets you save your play queue as a temporary track listing that you can easily select and sort or save as a playlist. The app also displays info, album art and more.
The app also allows you to quickly pause, change tracks, manage play queue, see what’s playing and access the WinAmp home screen. Of course, you can also add playlists as well as the widget player to your Android phone’s home screen. And finally, the app also supports scrobbling with the Last.fm, if the app is installed in your Android phone. This lets you capture all of your mobile listening history in real time.
WinAmp Android app is available now as a free download from the Android Market.
