Rumor: Motorola Atrix 4G Laptop Dock Could Retail For $150

CES 2011 portrayed many innovative devices ranging from TVs, to cars, to smartphones, and to tablets, but perhaps one of the most interesting product ideas and concepts on display at the annual tech show was the Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone that doubles as a portable netbook. Expected to launch on AT&T for an unannounced price, one of its biggest accessories — the laptop dock, is rumored to cost $150 when it launches. This information is coming by way of a Best Buy employee who spoke to an AT&T representative regarding the laptop dock.

Considering it comes with an 11.6 inch screen, full keyboard, battery, and speaker system, its price tag is not too surprising, since the Atrix itself will do most of the heavy lifting in terms of processor power. Hopefully the Android smartphone’s retail price isn’t too expensive because I expect many people would like to take advantage of the smartphone + laptop combo.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
