Rumor: Motorola Droid Pro To Sell For $299 On Two Year Contract?
Just recently, Verizon Wireless announced a few new phones, such as the Droid Pro, Droid 2 Global, Motorola Citrus and the Palm Pre Plus. Each phone would launch on November 11, however, the pricing at the time was not announced. According to a live test site for the Motorola Droid Pro, there is a good chance that it will launch for $299 on a new two year contract when it becomes available on November 11.
Since it is just a test page, there is a chance that $299 is simply a place holder for the future, legitimate price point. However, there is also a good chance that this is, indeed, the actual price that you must pay for a world phone. Of course, only time will tell whether or not $299 is the price Verizon has in mind. I expect Verizon to release a formal announcement of pricing sometime in early November.
